Akra Collection launches the Bonfim bag collection, produced manually by Akra project’s artisans, using the technique of macrame and natural fiber from the buriti palm.
For the bag production, two states unite: Maranhão, with buriti fiber and clothing, and Bahia, with Senhor do Bonfim ribbons and inspiration. The result is an original, versatile and culture-packed bag.
The Senhor do Bonfim ribbon is part of Brazilian culture, and each color conveys a message or desire, symbolizing luck:
Blue- love
Pink- friendship
Yellow- Success
Green- health
Orange- happiness
Purple- spirituality
Red- passion
White- peace
Black- honor
