Catarina Mina's debut at SPFW 57
With more than 15 years of history, the brand presented itself for the first time at São Paulo Fashion Week on April 12 and showed the “Guardiãs da Memória” collection in honor of the artisans from Ceará, originally from the same state as Celina Hissa – founder and designer by Catarina Mina.
The show, with the participation of Astrid Fontenelle as a model, was super: super transparencies, super necklines and super structured pieces. The mix of artisanal crochets (which are the brand’s signature) was the protagonist and gained prominence, as well as the hand embroidery. From light looks with sober colors to costumes with firm and colorful fabrics, Catarina Mina’s sustainable clothing brought elegance and boldness to the SPFW catwalks.
To end on a high note, Celina welcomed, alongside the spotlight, some of her artisans who occupied the front row of spectators, an exciting and representative moment for women in manual trades in our country.
