Brazilian swimwear brand Lenny Niemeyer, known by the Carioca (native from Rio de Janeiro) lifestyle in its creation, debuts the Winter 2021 campaign.
Poente (Sunset) collection was shot in Búzios, in Rio de Janeiro, inspired by chic primitivism. The collection’s pieces and accessories were created with textures and raw materials of natural origin, and the highlight is the piece’s traditional shape, due to the connection of the concept of elegance and comfort. “The new collection is an invitation to contemplation”.
“From the top, the landscape is breathtaking. A long stretch of the sea extends 8 kilometers into the Atlantic Forest in blue-green tones, surrounded by the contours of the mountains. The organic lines of the forest lean over the waters of the Atlantic Ocean that move without haste, in a serene movement of coming and going. With its fine yellowish sand, the shore complements the paradisiacal scenario of Saco do Mamanguá, producing surprising contrasts and textures ”. Inspired by the power of nature, its exuberance, fluidity and purity, the Mamanguá collection is a journey of introspection, with organic surfaces, designs and colors that symbolize the aesthetics of natural elements.
The colors in the collection’s palette are: FOREST, the greenish nuances and acetate texture reflect the exuberance of the Atlantic Forest, the collection’s inspiration and essence; AMBER, a classic color with nuances that mix shades of beige and yellow; OCEAN, a hue that rescues the movement of coming and going from the sea; GREEN VINTAGE, the perfect addition to the forest palette in a beautiful contrast between strength and delicacy; NINA, inspired by the foliage of the Atlantic Forest, depicting the subtlety and fluidity of the forest, bringing in femininity; and SASHA, in honor of the explorers, portrayed by an authentic and empowered shape. The creation and development of the collection was inspired by the geography of Saco do Mamanguá, and the aesthetic universe of its natural elements, colors, fluidity, movements, textures and organic curves.
The collection features a unique design, symbolizing the Brazilian beauty and faithfully conveys the sensations aroused by nature. “Mamanguá is Lapima’s creative maturity, its essence expressed through shapes and tones, in an authentic feeling from Brazil to the world”.

Mariah Rovery and Flex Jewel introduced a partnership with Hype Beachwear to create a collab inspired by the full cycles of nature, with the snake and human eye symbols portrayed in earrings, rings, bracelets, necklaces and the collection all over prints.
The accessories collection follow two lines, one made of plated metal, and the other with FLEX JEWEL material, a malleable, resistant, light, non-toxic and colored resin, a new concept in the accessories sector, with exclusive material and unique development.
The collab’s two reference elements translate representativeness and personality to the accessories. The serpent symbolizes the beginning, to be reborn. The human eye conveys our surroundings, the link between the outside and the inside world, bringing to the brain the information necessary to react. “Both the eye and the snake are our chosen symbols to represent the courage that is in being reborn, facing the unknown in a never seen before environment”.

“Our life connects like a textile made over time, generating long weaves of energies and stories”. Inspired by ancestry and individual essence, Lolitta’s Winter 2021 collection symbolizes the connection with cultural and spiritual roots, with rustic and organic references, textures and prints with a handmade vibe.

And yet, with applications, the tweed creates reliefs and, mixed with knitting, creates a new tailoring.
The sweatshirt shows several comfortable and versatile styles for an updated loungewear. The star accessory is the pumps with resin heels.
The Tecimentos collection values the feminine and the design authorship in creation, with a palette of warm and earthy colors, with emphasis on pepper red, pink and the refreshment of mint that appears as a point of light.
Designer Naisha Cardoso’s jewelry, imprinted with Belém do Pará (capital of the state of Pará) cultural identity, symbolizes the essence of the Northern region of Brazil as the brand’s main guideline, and uses contemporary jewelry as a tradition transgression.
The designer introduces the Raízes | Tucupi collection, a continuation of the liquid theme in her jewels present in other permanent collections: Chuva das 4 (4 p.m. Rain), Afluentes (Affluents), Raízes (Roots).
The collection was created especially for customers based in Belém, as an emotional memory, made in the Amazon for the Amazon. “You are what you eat, in your place of origin”.
The creation brings inspiration and essence to tucupi (a yellow sauce extracted from wild manioc root)- one of the foundations of Amazonian cuisine- the juice of cooked cassava with peculiar flavor and pronounced acidity, and also a food preservative.
“My desire to make this transgression with something archetypal has been going on for a long time.” “In researching glass in Murano (Italy) I had already tried to reach an identical tone of yellow. I got a similar result, but it was a very open tone and similar to a neon hue. It wasn’t our ‘yellow tucupi’ yet, ”says Naisha Cardoso.
The designer stabilized the liquid and managed to reach the “yellow tucupi”, a reduction of tucupi that rests weeks before being bottled and sealed, present in the collection’s pieces.
“Belém is liquid in a sovereign way, both due to the Guajará bay and its affluents, confluences and river arms, as well as the typical rain of the Amazon rain cycle, true suspended rivers”, reveals Cardoso about the city’s personality. And yet, “we can smell the rain with a delicacy that only those who are from here can recognize. It is about that 95% humidity of the air that condenses, condenses, and suddenly precipitates ”.
The collection conveys in its essence the idea that what is eaten and how to eat it speaks a lot about the cultural identity of a territory and its people, “I decided to play and keep the Tucupi tone as Belém is: liquid”, concludes the designer on the culture of the Amazon territory as inspiration for the Raízes | Tucupi collection.
