Miami Swim Week: moda praia brasileira agita mercado norte-americano

,

A group of 46 Brazilian beachwear brands is heading to the United States in the coming days to showcase their collections during Miami Swim Week, a series of events dedicated to the swimwear segment in Miami.

With the support of Texbrasil (the Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program), a partnership between Abit (the Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), 18 Brazilian beachwear brands will present their collections at SwimShow, considered one of the world’s most traditional and relevant swimwear trade fairs. The participating brands are: Akera, Constantinopla, Das Meninas, Falésia Carioca, Ga-Há, Guilff, Guria Beachwear, Jungle Society, Karla Vivian, Kopsch, Lybethras, MOS Beachwear, Nidas, Planet Sea, Rio de Sol, Rygy, Silvia Schaefer, and Zillê Rio. The event takes place from May 30 to June 1 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

At the same time and at the same venue, two additional Brazilian brands — Mari M and Plié — will make their debut at Curve Miami, also with the support of Texbrasil.

In parallel, 25 other Brazilian brands will participate in Cabana Show with the support of Fashion Label Brasil, the Brazilian value-added fashion internationalization program created by ABEST (Brazilian Association of Fashion Designers) in partnership with ApexBrasil. Participating brands include: Água de Coco, Catarina Mina, Cecília Prado, Cristina Sabatini, Despi, Dress To, Empress, Gapaz, La Sirène, Lavish, Lenny, Lis Fiaschi, Maria Pavan, Melissa, Naked, Osklen, Patbo, Serpui, Sinesia Karol, Sophia Hegg, Ventura Eyewear, Vix, Waiwai, Yukio, and Zoew.

Cabana Show brings together brands and retailers, primarily from the United States, with a focus on design-driven and independent fashion, catering to buyers from renowned boutiques and department stores worldwide, especially from North and Central America.

Over the course of these three-day events, buyers will be able to explore a wide range of products across categories such as beachwear, resortwear, underwear, footwear, bags, accessories, and lifestyle. Around 800 exhibitors from more than 10 countries — including Brazil, the United States, Colombia, Peru, Germany, Italy, and Poland, among others — are expected to participate. Organizers anticipate receiving more than 7,500 attendees, including buyers, media, sponsors, and industry professionals from over 60 countries.

Another first marks this edition of Swim Week: for the first time, Colombiamoda Miami is opening its doors to brands from other countries, and Brazil has been invited to participate, represented by Borana, also through Texbrasil. The event will take place at Throw Social from May 27 to 29.

“Brazilian beachwear stands out for the high quality of its products, the creativity that reflects the country’s identity, and a standard of excellence recognized internationally. These attributes strengthen the competitiveness of Brazilian brands and position Brazil as a global reference in this segment,” says Lilian Kaddissi, Marketing and Business Superintendent at Abit.

“Cabana has established itself as one of the leading international showcases for premium beachwear, bringing together brands distinguished by their creative DNA, handmade craftsmanship, and signature pieces. It is very rewarding to see Brazilian fashion gaining more and more international recognition, becoming part of such a respected curation that highlights the evolution and prestige of Brazilian design abroad,” says Aurea Yamashita, International Projects Manager at ABEST.
